Here to support all residents, whatever their age or employment experience to continue their work journey.
The Spelthorne Jobs and Skills Hub began as the Spelthorne Youth Hub in November 2021, a partnership between A2 Housing, Brooklands College, and Spelthorne Borough Council, funded by the DWP to support 18 to 24-year-olds into employment.
By January 2023, it was clear that a broader service was needed, and from September 2023, we expanded to support jobseekers of all ages. With this wider remit, we rebranded as the Spelthorne Jobs and Skills Hub.
As awareness of the hub grew a dedicated team began to form offering expert employment support. Partnerships flourished, with MIND providing mental health drop-ins and the running of Digital Dippers courses for over-45s, alongside our own employability programme.
In August 2024, we moved next to Staines Library, securing a long-term base for our services. Our walk-in support remains popular, and we now host additional organisations, including Surrey Care Trust, Surrey Choices and Work Well, making employment support more accessible than ever.
With partnerships like Brooklands Technical College and Heathrow Academy, the Spelthorne Jobs and Skills Hub has become a true one-stop shop for skills, training, and employment, empowering residents at every stage of their career journey.
