These start with a range of Ievel 3 qualifications which will help you:

  • gain skills that employers value
  • improve your job prospects
  • earn a higher wage

If you're eligible you will not have to pay for your Level 3 qualification. The government will pay the course fees.

The academy connects you to jobs and careers across the airport.

In addition to being a gateway to jobs across the airport it also promotes apprenticeships across the airport in areas such as construction.

However not all candidates are clear about the requirements so the academy also offers candidates looking for employment at the airport free access to the Universal Framework for essential skills.

It also offers a diverse range of events including drop-in sessions, essential skills workshops and online webinars.

The Surrey Choices Employability Team

The Employability Team helps to find work placements, volunteer opportunitiesand paid work for disabled people, autistic people, those with sensory needs and those with mental health problems.

They offer one to one and group support to prepare people for the world of work and support once they are in work.

Though many come as referrals from adult services or have an EHCP there are other funded routes which do not require these pathways.
